I am really lucky
I am really lucky to have family in France that will house me and feed when I come to visit. I am even luckier to have friends all over the world that will do the same. I have benefitted greatly from my mom coordinating an international student exchange program for the last ten years. I have had the opportunity to share my house with lots of students for the summer months and I have met even more students that were in the program. Overall, I have met more students than I can remember, but there are a select few that I still keep in contact with. It is these students that I know I can call up and say “Hey- I am in your country right now. Want to meet up?” It is a great feeling knowing that you have a friendly home in many places of the world.
